Like most race horses, Warrior had to retire when he passed his racing prime. Most of the race horses retire between 7 to 9 years old and many do not make it to see their 10th birthday.
These are the lucky ones at Noah’s Ark – some will get to have a
second career at a horse riding school, become polo horse or a leisure horse
for resorts, and some (like the horses here) get to enjoy a life of retirement.
The average life span of a horse is between 20 to 30 years.
Warrior enjoys a good run every day with his buddy Chun Doong to
keep himself fit and– the two of them can always be seen running together in
the open field.
They too have learnt to eat durians – from Melody who has taught
them how to enjoy the King of Fruits.
