Rocky

First meeting on 9 July 2014
Passed away peacefully on 21 July 2014
Est. Age 9 yrs old

We were looking forward to Rocky's arrival on 4 August at Noah's Ark to show him and let him experience freedom at Noah's Ark.  Unfortunately on Monday, 21 July morning, he passed away in his sleep.

Rocky passed on knowing that he had friends who cared for him and our volunteers who had visited him at the boarding kennel to take him for walks.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their contribution towards Rocky, the funds which Rocky received will be channled towards his medical bill of $193.67.

Rocky - a Husky who lived in kennel for 5 years

ROCKY
Huskies generally have a loving, gentle and playful personality which makes them a good choice for a family dog. They are highly intelligent, trainable and docile dogs in terms of personality and are good with children as they bark very little.

However, in the sad case of Rocky, a bi-colored eyed husky, he was kept in a kennel for the past 5 years, he has lost touch with the world due to the extensive confinement and just stares blankly as the day goes by.  His owner also had difficulties in paying for the boarding fees and Rocky can no longer stay in the kennel.

Rocky is a 9 year old, male who has a good temperament and is missing out on a human’s love and affection as he has been confined to the four walls of the kennel that he has known for most of his life as home.  The staff at the boarding kennel contacted Noah’s Ark for help as they could not bear to send the dog away as they have bonded with the dog over time.

One of the volunteers went to see Rocky to assess his temperament.  As Rocky is a senior dog, it would be difficult to re-home him.  Therefore, Noah’s Ark has decided to arrange for him to be transferred to Noah’s Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary (NANAS) in Malaysia.

Rocky went for his medical check-up on Monday, 14 July and he is in good health and he has passed all his medical check-up.

But the transfer to Noah’s Ark comes with its own challenges as it cost S$500 for Rocky’s transport and documentation to the sanctuary from Singapore and $193.67 for his medical check-up to make sure he is in good health and does not have any underlying problems.

At Noah’s Ark, for accepting these animals is to give them the chance like Rocky to know the true meaning of freedom, care and a home where he can pass on with dignity.

Please help Rocky to give him a Second Chance and to know what it feels to be free from the four walls.  To help Rocky, please email to noahsarkcares@gmail.com
