Arrived at Noah’s Ark: In 2009
Apache is a Polo Horse rescued from Leisure Farm. Due to leg
injuries, he could no longer be ridden for the game and horses with his fate
are usually put down.
Apache now spends his time grazing with his buddy Whatmore, living
a carefree life in the sanctuary.

Boom Boom is his stable name and he lives up to it by booming
around. He is from Germany and was from a riding school in Singapore. Like
Primus – Boom Boom didn’t quite like to work and he could be selective with his
riders. Occasionally when he is not in the mood to work, he will buck the
rider off his back. He does have an attitude and a temper and needed to be
handled by a seasoned rider.
Boom Boom was given up because he looked lame (by lifting up his
hind leg) and can't be ridden. Some days you will find him lying in
stables, and to his caregivers, he seems in pain and in discomfort.
Noah’s Ark agreed to take Boom Boom in, because Raymund felt that
he could treat him by providing the necessary medical care.
Guess what? If you think he is hurt, you are wrong!
When Boom Boom arrived at Noah’s Ark, the first thing he did was to jump in the
air and he did a flying kick with his hind legs. Hmmm…. Thinking he has a
bad hind – nope, he is happily running around. If you know the song you
can hear him singing “I feel good!”.
Boom Boom is totally a different horse at Noah’s Ark, he is calmer
and not so grumpy. He hardly pinches you the way he did at the
riding school.
Noah’s Ark has given him the second chance and to respect him for
whom he is.

Arrived at Noah’s Ark: September 2013
Chun Doong – meaning thunder in Korean, which is no surprise as
his previous owner is Korean.
Chun Doong was an ex race horse from Singapore and like his friend
Warrior he too had to retire when he was 7.5 years old. Although he has
Korean , his dad is from Argentina while his mum is from New Zealand.He is an
international horse and a lady’s man.
Chun Doong loves to have his face massaged and he will doze off
into a blissful nap while enjoying the attention. He is so affectionate
that he will place his head gently on your face and you can do the waltz with
him.

Arrived at Noah’s Ark: June 2013
Cinzano is measure 16 hands
and is the tallest horse at Noah’s Ark. He was a a-showjumping
horse and was one of the horses who competed in the Singapore Youth Olympic
Games (YOG) in August 2010. After the games ended, the YOG horses were
distributed to the various riding schools in Singapore.
Cinzano had to be retired from his work because of a cracked hoof
on his front left leg, the impact from jumping had caused his hoof to crack ever
so often. He retired officially in March 2013.
For the love of horses, Raymund took Cinzano in because he was
confident that he could heal his hooves. Within a couple of months staying
at Noah’s Ark and showered with treatment and constant care, his hooves healed
very nicely. Cinzano has been with us for a year – and there is no sign
of any cracked hooves to be seen now.
Cinzano is now enjoying the freedom on our durian plantation
together with his girlfriend Prisma who is also a retired showjumping horse.

Daring Journey (DJ) is Noah’s Ark latest member of the horse
family and makes the Perfect TEN, he aspires to be a DJ for Noah’s Ark.
DJ retired from his racing career in March 2014 and arrived in Noah’s
Ark the next month. He is still a little shy in the new surroundings and is
finding his place in the herd. We are certain that he will get over this
adjustment period soon!
Also, if you look at him closely, he has the sexiest butt amongst
all the horses and got pinched by Boom Boom! Coupled with his handsome markings, he has the potential
to be a model too!
DJ is smart - he knows that Primus is the alpha horse in the group
and follows him around and tries to get into his good books.
