Noah's Ark Horses: Prisma

Name: Northern Prisma Three

Sex : Mare

Age: 15 years old

Birthdate: 31 December 1999

Color: Chestnut

(Various shades of gold, from pale gold to red-gold)

Breed: Thoroughbred

Arrived at Noah’s Ark: June 2013

Like Cinzano, Prisma was a showjumping horse and she was part of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in August 2010. Prisma had to be retired in early 2013 because she injured her front leg. When a horse has a leg injury, the riding school is not able to use the horse anymore – because it can be very dangerous for both the horse and rider.

When Boom Boom and Cinzano were about to leave Singapore to make their journey to Noah’s Ark in Johor, the riding school asked if we could take Prisma along as they could not bear to put her down due to her sweet nature. Noah’s Ark was able to takePrisma in because we had a spare stable and we have ample space for them to run.

When Prisma arrived, we gave them time to settle in and allowed them to do what they liked – it was practically free and easy and the start of a work-free life.

We have a horse trainer to care for and exercise the rescued horses everyday – ensuring that they are kept fit. Prisma is doing very well – andtill now she has showed no signs of her leg injury.
