The Silvana S. Foundation Wildlife Photography Exhibition in Aid of NANAS

Thank you Silvana S. Foundation for collaborating with us to raise funds for the animals at the sanctuary. 

We are excited!  Even the animals are excited as we look forward to opening night on 29 July 2017*.

Silvana S. Foundation has kindly appointed Noah's Ark Natural Animal Shelter (NANAS) as a beneficiary from the sale of the late Silvana Sutanto's photo exhibits.

In her lifetime, award-winning wildlife photographer Silvana Sutanto sought to give voice to the silent and silenced - animals whose habitats are being threatened by humanity's encroachment.

In tribute to her memory, the Silvana S. Foundation will be putting up an exhibition cum sale of 15 of her works.  In addition, fine Jewellery boutique Loang & Noi has exclusively designed a series of zebra pendant brooches to accompany her captivating images. Profits from the show will benefit Noah's Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary (NANAS).

* The exhibition is open to the public from 30 July to 6 August 2017.  If you are in town, please do visit the Wildlife Photography Exhibition.

Call for Photographers and help our fur friends

If you love nature and animals, we have a task for you.

What do you need to do?

Spend the day at Noah’s Ark and photograph the residents.
Select 6 of your *best* pictures and submit to NANAS for our 2018 Calendar.

If your picture is selected, you will receive 10 complimentary copies of 2018 NANAS Calendar to show and share with your friends your work for the animals.

All pictures published will be credited.

10.00 am Meet & Depart from Boon Lay MRT Passenger pick-up point
11.00 am Arrive in JB for lunch
12.30 pm Arrive at NA

8.30 pm Depart for Singapore
9.30 pm Arrive home

My favourite place on Earth

I have to say this place is magical, always so much more to explore and discover. My students were all very excited to be back to experience the "kampong" life and to see their animal friends again. 

All of them have overcame their fear on the previous trip (some have never touched a cat / dog or horse before). I can totally see that they are more at ease this time and creating more beautiful photos, which will go towards the Noah's Ark 20th Anniversary fund-raising dinner. Can't wait to see thousands of their photos tomorrow during class! In the meantime, here are some of mine. 

I must say this trip has been very fruitful for me too as I got to spend more time with my Doberman girl, Mika. Soon after my dear dogson Tesmo passed on, Mika arrived at sanctuary as her owner had given her up. At first she was really shy and kept to herself. But on this visit, she and I bonded. She would calmly walk in front of me whenever a big dog approach, and use the length of her body to protect me. We even share a head-head moment, it was really sweet. We just kept each other company heart-to-heart, without a word or bark. I love it :) Can't wait to see you again Mika....

My second visit to Noah's Ark

My second time at Noah's Ark CARES in the last 24 hours and it's starting to feel a lot like my second home.  Animals and humans, we're all the same - we crave for love and attention - and hope things never change.

Big thank you to all the animals and volunteers at Noah's Ark for being ever so warm and welcoming - and to all visitors as well, thank you for coming - always wonderful to be in company of fellow animal loving souls!
